Shortly after the Red Bull Music Academy in Japan, we began discussions with Red Bull about the history of music technology development in Japan and the creation of a documentary that showcases the most beloved and iconic products created during that history.

The video shows how Japan, a technologically advanced country, has transformed the world's music culture through two groundbreaking products: Sony's Walkman and Technics' SL-1200. The footage, shot in 55 interviews across three countries, allowed DJs and music producers to unravel previously untold stories about the impact of these two inventions on live music and music culture itself.
