Japanese Music Technology That Changed the World

Shortly after the Red Bull Music Academy held in Japan, discussions began with Red Bull about the history of Japanese music technology development and the creation of a documentary showcasing the most beloved iconic products created during that history.

The video depicts how technologically advanced Japan transformed global music culture through two groundbreaking products: Sony's Walkman and Technics' SL-1200. The footage, filmed with 55 interviews across three countries, revealed previously untold stories of how these two inventions impacted live music and music culture itself, unveiled by DJs and music producers.
